NIAGARA M0 HAWK POWER CORPORATION NINE MILE POINT - UNIT 2 DOCKET NO. 50-410 Interim Report for a Problem Concerning Items Supplied by Tube-Lino Corporation Description of the Problem Certain material (i.e., pipe fittings) has been supplied to the Nine Mile Point Unit 2 Site by Tube-Line Corporation. This material was purchased through purchase orders placed by Niagara Mehawk Power Corporation to Capitol Pipe and Steel Products Company. It is believed that this material has not been manufactured in compliance with the provisions of NCA-3800 of the ASME Code,Section III. This material was procured as loose material and was required to meet ASME Section III, Class 2, requirements. The material was intended for use, as needed, for ASME Section III Class 2 and 3, as well as ANSI B31.1 Code Class 4 applications.

This problem was identified in the NRC I.E. Information Notice No. 83-07.

The matter is still being investigated and a final report will be submitted by September 19, 1983.
