Dear Mr. Grier:

This letter is submitted for the SNUPPS utilities in response ta the subject IE Bulletins.

The referenced letter forwarded a generic report which contained nost of the information requested by the subject Bulletins. This CE report is applicable to the reactor vessels for the SNUPPS plants.

I "aro No. 4 of Bulletin 73-12 requested information concerning the availability of archive weld materials. CE does not maintain an inven-tory of archive materials for the welds addressed in the generic report.

Westinghouse, the SNUPPS NSSS supplier, will develop surveillance weld-ment data which will be documented following completion of the pre-irradi-ation testing program. Westinghouse will inventory archive surveillance weldment material which may used for verification purposes should excess material remain after ...achining the surveillance weld material specimens from core region weld material.

Our review of the CE repor' forwarded by the referer.ced letter disclosed a few apparent errors. CE nas agreed to correct the discrepancies and 519 3IO 7908070 Q (
