There has been no apparent adverse environmental impact due to the " large numbers of shad being impinged at the intake of ANO-1. h' inter-m_ , time mortality of threadfin shad due to low temperatures is not .-

unusual due to their lack of resistance to low water temperatures. j The ANO-1 intake screens only collect the shad after they become J unable to resist the intake current due to lethargy caused by a decrease in water temperature.                               -            ensure that adequate data is obtained for' evaluating plant impac.t.
