SUMMARY

AUGUST 1998 UNIT ONE The unit began the month operating at 100% power.

At 0050 hours5.787037e-4 days <br />0.0139 hours <br />8.267196e-5 weeks <br />1.9025e-5 months <br /> on the eighth, a power reduction to 85% was commenced for the monthly turbine governor valve test. Following the completion of the test, the unit was returned to 100% power at 0530 hours0.00613 days <br />0.147 hours <br />8.763227e-4 weeks <br />2.01665e-4 months <br /> that same day. Also during this down power the "C" Circulating Bay and Service Water Bay were isolated for cleaning, and were returned to service at 0940 hours0.0109 days <br />0.261 hours <br />0.00155 weeks <br />3.5767e-4 months <br /> on the ninth. A second cleaning was performed at 0206 hours0.00238 days <br />0.0572 hours <br />3.406085e-4 weeks <br />7.8383e-5 months <br /> on the fifteenth that required power to be reduced to 97%. After the plant was stabilized following removing the "B" Circulating Water Pump from service, power was returned to 100% at 0258 hours0.00299 days <br />0.0717 hours <br />4.265873e-4 weeks <br />9.8169e-5 months <br /> that same day.
