7. Description of Occurrence:

'At 0800 hours0.00926 days <br />0.222 hours <br />0.00132 weeks <br />3.044e-4 months <br /> on Janua'ry 24, 1977, Control Room Emergency Ventilation Unit (2VSF-9) was taken out of service and to be replaced with a larger capacity unit. Since the Unit I and Unit 2 control' rooms will share the same ventilation systems, the Unit i ventilation system will be ,

upgraded in order to comply with the Unit 2 Technical Specificationc on Control Room Ventilation System. The ventilation unit was taken out of service 3 days prior to shutdown in order that it would not have an impact on the refueling schedule.

Since VSF-9 was operable and one of the units is allowed to be out of service for seven days, there was no hazard to the health and safety of the public.
