R-0285 DHS SAMPLE VALVE REPLACEMENTS

-Replaces valves HV-26000, HV-26003 and HV-26004.

-HV-26003 failed the reverse flow leak check. Parts are on order and as soon as they arrive the valve taken apart and checked. Some spare parts have been  !

l received and NCR S-6789 was written to determine l l qualification of the parts. l l -NCR S-3179 and NCR S-3324 closures are pending closure of this ECN.

R-0361 ADD CHECK VALVES TO DHS SAMPLE LINES

-Release is pending and in-service leak check of valves i RSS711 and RSS712 with the RCS in hot shut down. Will i be done in conjunction with STP 433. This is to check l for thru-valve leakage.

R-0424 FLUSH / DILUTION WATER DEMINERALIZED  ;

-Action has been taken by Nuclear Engineering to l replace the dilution water conductivity indicator and

install a mixed bed resin in the demineralized.

-Work request initiated to repair the leak on the output of Filter F-496 (WR 131281).

Comments are being incorporated. l 793 HEAT TRACING

-The Test Outline is approved.

-The procedure was approved and performed on 7/9/87.

However, the test was stopped when the acceptance criteria could not be achieved for air temperature exiting the sample line at the PASS panel. Pipe supports on the last section of line are acting as heat sinks. WR 134480 has been written to insulate the effected pipe supports. When that work is done the test will be rescheduled.

PASS SPs 907 MONTHLY FUNCTION TEST OF PASS

-Drafting of Test Outline and Procedure pending revision 1 to Operating Procedure AP.313-1.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS DESIGN BASIS REPORT

-The PASS design basis has been issued for the initial review. The System Engineer reviewed the draft and provided comments to the Design Engineer.  ;

TRAINING ACTION -Provide on-the-job training for Chemistry Technicians in the use of PASS.

-rive Technicians have been selected-and will begin hands on training as soon as the Operating Procedure (AP.313-1) is approved.

-Functional testing will be performed during the development of the operating procedure.

SPARE PARTS ACTION -Nuclear Engineering has generated a list of required spare parts. A Purchase Order will be initiated to purchase the parts.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE ACTION -A Preventive Maintenance program must be developed for the appropriate PASS components.

PASS COMMITMENTS

-A letter was sent from John Ward to Frank Miraglia (NRR) on 5/4/87 specifing additional information on PASS accuracy and range. (Ref: JEW 87-750)

PAINTING

-Work Request 131294 has been written to have the room i painted which houses the PASS control panel. I

-Work Request 131290 was written to have the bottom i of the SCAS panel cleaned and painted.

DUCTWORK ACTION -Ductwork must be installed to contain miscellaneous wires in the vicinity of the IGE and MCA.

I l' NUPAC SHIPPING CASK ACTION -Stencil warning on shipping container concerning the use of-tie-down points.

PRESSURE TRANSMITTERS PT-71303A AND PT-71303B ACTION -Verify that the calibration procedure for these two transmitters calls for the sensing line to be filled with water up to Volume B. Install nameplates at these two transmitters stating the same.
