ilOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-354 UNIT NO. 1 SPECI AL REPOK'1 90-002 Thin Special Report la being submitted pursuant to the requirements of 10CFR73.71, due to a notification of the NRC Operations Center of a late fuel shipment.

On 11/2/90 at 0800, the S'RC Operations Center was notified that a fuel shipment for the llope Creek Generating Station had not arrived at the expected time. The truck delievering the fuel had not arrived as acheduled at 0700, and General Electric -

Wilmington, N.C. was notified. It was determined that the driver had been delayed enroute by fog in the early morning hours, and had not informed GE - Wilmington in aufficient time to reschedule arrival at liope Creek.

The fuel chipment arrived at 0755, and all fuel wac accounted for.
