P.ETRACTION OF A 50.72 FOUR HOUR REPORT ROPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-354 On January 31, 1996, Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) made a four hour report pursuant to the provisions of 10CFR50. 72 (b) (2) (iii).
The report concerned an event where the Hope Creek Control Room Ventilation Radiation Monitoring Detectors were declared inoperable.
They were declared inoperable because they did not meet the design specifications for the range of temperature and humidity to which they would be subjected.
On February 22, 1996, Engineering completed an evaluation that determined the Control Room Ventilation Radiation Monitoring Detectors would perform their intended design basis function.
Since the Radiation Monitoring Detectors are operable, the associated four hour report was retracted on February 23, 1996.
