Dear Sir:

This letter is intended to clarify the qualifications of individuals within the TMI-l Radiological Controls Department.

The Incumbent Qualifications for the Manager Radiological Controls described in Section 5.2.29e of the TMI-1 Restart Report include two years of experience as the " Supervisor of Reactor Plant Services" at the Saxton Nuclear Experi-mental Corporation from August 1970 to August 1972. The duties of the

" Supervisor of Reactor Plant Services" at Saxton included supervision of and responsibility for the Health Physics and Chemistry programs at the Saxton reactor site. As a result of this experience, the incumbent Manager of Radiological Controls will meet the requirements of Regulatory Guide 1.8 as .

of December 1980.
