Two public meetings were conducted on August 21, 2013, at the Fossil Ridge Library, 386 W. Kennedy Road, Braidwood, IL 60408. Approximately 60 people attended the meetings. The attendees included members of the NRC staff, members of the public, representatives from Exelon, news media, local government officials, a State Senator, and a representative of a U.S.
Two public meetings were conducted on August 21, 2013, at the Fossil Ridge Library, 386 W. Kennedy Road, Braidwood, IL 60408. Approximately 60 people attended the meetings.
Congressman. Public comments and questions were mainly focused on the socioeconomic impacts of renewing the licenses and the impacts of having Braidwood as a power generator to the surrounding area.
The attendees included members of the NRC staff, members of the public, representatives from Exelon, news media, local government officials, a State Senator, and a representative of a U.S. Congressman.
A combined listing of attendees for both sessions is provided in Enclosure 1. Enclosure 2 is a copy of the meeting handouts. Enclosures 3 and 4 contain the official transcripts for the afternoon and evening meetings, respectively. Enclosure 5 contains a copy of the slides used during the NRC's presentation.
