En closure 1 is a list of representatives from NRC, ANL, New Hampshire (NH) State agencies, other Federal agencies, and NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC (NextEra) who participated in the site audit.
N extE ra cited no new and significant information, and the team's independent r eview during the course of the site audit did not i dentify any either. At the conclusion of the site audit, the environmental review team summarized the status of the review with NextEra representatives.
The audit began on October 5, 2010, with a kickoff meeting to introduce participants and to discuss logistics of the audit. Following the kickoff meeting, the environmental review team participated in a general site tour of Seabrook Station with NextEra staff. The general site tour provided an ecological overview of the site and focused on areas relevant to the environmental review.
Most of the team's questions were answered through the conduct of the audit. Those that were not will be answered by NextEra, as it responds to the team's request for additional information (RAI) letter (ADAMS accession number ML 102861217).
During the remainder of the site audit, the environmental review team examined data used by NextEra in preparation of the Environmental Report and met in smaller groups with NextEra representatives with corresponding environmental expertise. These groups participated in various activities, including tours of onsite National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System-permitted outfalls; circulating water systems; in-scope transm ission line rights-of-way; radioactive waste processing and storage areas; meteorological towers and monitoring equipment; and Title V-permitted air emission points.
Enclosure 2 is a table of documents requested by the team during the site audit and provided by NextEra to assist the team i n its review. These documents will be made publically available in the NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (AD AMS) at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
The environmental review team also met onsite with officials from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries Division, the NH Department of Environmental Services, the NH Division of Historical Resources, the NH Division of Public Health, the NH Fish and Game Department, and the NH Natural Heritage Bureau . Information gathered through participation of these agencies will assist the environmental review team in its evaluation.

In addition , the team reviewed NextEra's process for identifying new and significant information (information that would challenge the generic conclusions reached in the Generic Environmental Impact Statement for License Renewal of Nuclear Plants, NUREG-1437). NextEra cited no new and significant information, and the team's independent review during the course of the site audit did not identify any either.
While the NRC review team did not identify any significant issues during its site audit or during the meetings with other participants , the team indicated that the environmenta l review was ongoing and that any add iti ona l information necessary to support the review would be formally requested. SUMMARY

OF SITE AUDIT RELATED TO THE REVIEW OF THE LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR SEABROOK STATION, UNIT 1 (TAC NO.

ME3959)

From October 5-7,2010, a review team consisting of staff from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and contractors from Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) participated in a site audit at Seabrook Station related to the environmental review of the Seabrook Station license renewal application. The primary goal of the site visit was to review documentation , gather information to ensure that the environmental requirements of license renewal as codified in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 51 (10 CFR Part 51) were met, and to interface with officials in Federal, State, and local government agencies to obtain related information . En closure 1 is a list of representatives from NRC, ANL, New Hampshire (NH) State agencies, other Federal agencies, and NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC (NextEra) who participated in the site audit.

At the conclusion of the site audit, the environmental review team summarized the status of the review with NextEra representatives. Most of the team 's questions were answered through the conduct of the audit. Those that were not will be answered by NextEra, as it responds to the team's request for additional information (RAI) letter (ADAMS accession number ML102861217). Enclosure 2 is a table of documents requested by the team during the site audit and provided by NextEra to assist the team in its review. These documents will be made publically available in the NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. Persons who do not have access to ADAMS or who encounter problems in accessing the documents located in ADAMS should contact the NRC's Public Document Room staff at 800-397-4209 (or 301-415-4737) or bye-mail at pdr.resource@nrc.gov.

While the NRC review team did not identify any significant issues during its site audit or during the meetings with other participants, the team indicated that the environmental review was ongoing and that any add itional information necessary to support the review would be formally requested .
