The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC (NextEra or the applicant), held a telephone conference call on August 31, 2012, to discuss the draft request for additional information (RAI) concerning the Seabrook Station license renewal application. provides a listing of the participants and Enclosure 2 contains a listing of the draft RAI that was discussed with the applicant, including a brief description on the status of the item.

The applicant had an opportunity to comment on this summary.

TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL SEA8ROOK STATION LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC (the applicant), held telephone a conference call on August 31, 2012, to discuss the draft request for additional information (RAI) concerning the Seabrook Station license renewal application (LRA).

Draft Follow-up RAI 8.2.1.28-3. Follow-up RAI 8.2.1.31-1. RAI 8.2.1.31-5.

RAI 8.2.1.31-6, RAI 8.2.1.31-7. RAI 8.2.1.31-8. RAI 8.2.1.31-9, RAI 8.2.1.31-10, and RAI 8.2.1.31-11: Related to the Alkali-Silica Reaction Open Item The staff discussed the staff's position related to the alkali-silica reaction open item.

The applicant understands the staff's concern and discussed submitting a response to the RAI. The applicant requested 60 days to submit the response.

The staff believes a 60-day response is acceptable and sent the RAI officially by letter on September 14, 2012.
