NEXTeraM Nay 25, 2010 SBK-L-10077 Docket No. 50-443 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attention: Document Control Desk One White Flint North 11555 Rockville Pike Rockville, MD 20852 Seabrook Station Application for Renewed Operating License Pursuant to the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 10, Parts 50, 51, and 54; NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC hereby applies for renewal of the Seabrook Station Unit No. 1 Facility Operating License No. NPF-86, which expires at midnight on March 15, 2030.

By this application, NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC requests that the NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC; Facility Operating License for Seabrook Station Unit No. 1 be extended for 20 years beyond the current expiration date. The application is filed within the interval specified in 10 CFR 54.17 (c) and meets the timeliness requirements of 10 CFR 2.109,(b). The application also applies to-the source, special nuclear and by-product materials licenses that are subsumed in the facility operating license.

NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC submits the enclosed Seabrook Station "Application for Renewed Operating License" in accordance with the applicable NRC operating license renewal requirements of 10 CFR Parts 54 and 51. The application includes the "Applicant's Environmental Report - Operating License Renewal Stage" (Environmental Report) prepared pursuant to 10 CFR 54.23 and 10 CFR Part 51, Subpart A. In addition to the signed original application enclosed are 13 electronic copies (CD) of the application.

Pursuant to 10 CFR 54.21 (b), current licensing basis changes which have a material effect on the content of this application will be identified annually while the application is under NRC review, and at least three months prior to the scheduled completion of the NRC review.

SBK-L- 10077 Page 2 The enclosure provides the NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC, application in hard copy format. The Licensee Commitments identified in Table A-1 of Appendix A, Seabrook Station Updated Final Safety Analysis Report Supplement, are proposed to support approval of the renewed operating License- and may change during the NRC review period.
