INSERVICE INSPECTION PROGRAM (TAC NO. 63092)

'RE: HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION By letter dated June 29, 1987 Public Service Gas and Electric Co (PSE8G) submitted the Hope Creek Generating-Station Inservice Inspection (ISI)

Program, Long Term Plan, First 10-year Interval, Revision 0. This ISI Program superseded an earlier version that was submitted by letter dated October 10, 1986 and included additinnal information requested by the staff following its initial revision of the earlier version.

We have completed our review of the June 29, 1987 program and have determined that it is acceptable and'in compliance with 10 CFR 50.55a(g)(4). As indicated in the enclosed Safety Evaluation (SE) we have granted all of the relief requests except for the three concerning reactor vessel welds, Category B-A.

The enclosed Safety Evaluation provides details of cur review and a summary tabulation of our conclusions concerning each request.

We have determined pursuant to 10 CFR Part 50.55a(g)(6)(i), that the granting of this relief is authorized by law and will rot endanger life or property or the common defense and security and is otherwise in the public interest. In making this determination, we have given due consideration to the burden that could result if these requirements were imposed on~ the facility.
