IE Bulletin 80-13 "Cracking in Core Spray Spargers",
dated May 12, 1980 During the April 1987 refueling outage, the Supply System oerformed a visual examination of the WNP-2 Core Spray Spargers per the requirements of the referenced IE Bul.letin. No relevant indications were observed in the areas examined. This letter satisfies the 30 day reporting require-ment in the referenced IE Bulletin.
The examination was performed remotely using an underwater closed circuit TV (CCTV) system capable of resolving a 0.001 inch diameter wire. The examiners were certified to Level II VT-1 under the Supply System's gA program. At the beginning and end of the examination and at four (4) hour intervals during the examinations, the CCTY system was demonstrated to be capable of resolving a 0.001 inch diameter wire in-situ.
