WNP-2, OPERATING LICENSE NPF-21 EXTENSION OF SECOND 10- YEAR INSERVICE INSPECTION PROGRAM PLAN

Reference:

Letter GO2-94-286, dated December 27, 1994, JV Parrish (SS) to NRC, "Second 10- Year Inservice Inspection Program Plan" The reference letter submitted the second 10-year Inservice Inspection Program Plan (ISI Program Plan). The ISI Program Plan identified the ending date for the second interval to be December 12, 2004 (Table 5.2.1, page 5-45). This is twenty years after the initial service date of December 13, 1984.

This letter is written to inform the staff of an extension to the ISI Program Plan. The inspection interval ending date has been extended by one year to December 12, 2005 due to changes in the WNP-2 refueling outage schedule. The extension is within the provisions of ASME Section XI, IWA-2430, "Inspection Intervals," paragraph (d). The applicable edition of ASME Section XI for the second inservice inspection interval at WNP-2 is the 1989 Edition, no Addenda.
