Letter, dated June 29, 1999, JV Parrish (SS) to NRC, "WNP-2, Operating License; Response to Generic Letter 98-01 Supplement 1, 'Year 2000 Readiness of Computer Systems at Nuclear Power Plants' The reference letter included a Year 2000 Readiness Disclosure as an attachment. The disclosure noted one exception regarding the replacement of software associated with a liquid scintillation counter used to measure tritium levels in plant efHuents. The exception stated the software would be replaced by August 13, 1999. The purpose of this letter is to provide notification of early completion on June 30, 1999 of the exception noted in the reference letter.

Therefore, equipment within the scope of GL 98-01, Supplement 1, has been evaluated in accordance with the WNP-2 Y2K project plan and procedures and is Y2K ready.
