ENGINEERING VERIFICATION PROGRAM/SL-2 EBASCO TASK FORCE WEEKLY STATUS StRQ1ARY FOR PERIOD OCTOBER 25-OCTOBER 30$ 1982

1. Independent vs existing design comparisons were active for all six ETF verification items:

a. . Item 3 Cntrl Rm Emergency Cleanup System Valve

b. Xtem 4 Hydrogen Recombiner

c. Item 5 Area Radiation Monitor

d. Item 6 Tornado Missile Shield Door

e. Xtem 7 Main Steam Xsolation Valve

f. Item 8 HEPA Filter for ECCS Area Ventilation System

2. Not all of the requested existing design information has been received from the Project Team for Items 3, 6, 7 and 8.

Status of work to be performed by ETF as interface with C-E Task Force-re expansion of component boundaries for verification items 1 (HPSI Pump) and 2 (SIT Isolation Valve):

a. Item 1

1) Extent of work by civil, stress analysis, electrical, and I 6 C disciplines has been determined.

2) Initial inputs received Oct 27 from C-E Task Force,

formal request-for-information letter was transmitted Oct 29 telecopier.

b. Item 2

1) Extent of'ork by electrical and I6 C disciplines has been determined and is underway.

2) Clarification of input received from C-E Task Force 'is in progress.

ENGINEERING VERIFICATION PROGRAM/SL-2 C-E TASK FORCE WEEKLY STATUS SMEARY OCTOBER 25-OCTOBER 29,1982

l. An Elementary Wiring Diagram for EVP Item 2 (SIT isolation valve) was developed and forwarded to the Ebasco task Force as expanded scope interface information.

2. Additional channel requirements information was developed for EVP Item 1 (HPSI pump) as interface information leading to completion of the Elementary Wiring Diagram, now 'scheduled for transmittal to Ebasco on ll/2/82.

3. An outline of the Engineering Verification Program Final Report section content was developed for Committee review.

4. The following Item 1 (HPSI pump) information was transmitted to the Ebasco Task Force as expanded scope interface information:

pump assembly weight maximum nozzle loadings

~ nozzle size and orientation base plate dimensions

5. Comparison of the independent design packages for EVP Items 1 and 2 with exist'ing design continues. Not all existing design information has been received for Item 2 (SIT isolation valve).
