Engineering Verification ProgramlSL2 C-E Task Force Meekly Status Summary September 13 - September 17
~ 0 A meeting was held with NRC on Tuesday, September 14, to discuss the independence of the EVP Task Force and its mode of operation.
The Safety Ingection Tank Isolation Valve independent design package was completed with the exception of minor. details awaiting receipt of additional design input.

Status of the independent design packages was discussed during a Review Committee meeting held at the SL2 site'Thursday, Se tember 16. The P was re uested to b q

~ I li Engineering Verification Program/SL-2 Ebasco Task Force Weekly Status Summary For Period September 13 September 18, 1982 2.
On Septemher 14, the FPL, Ebasco and C-E EVP Task Force Managers met with the NRC in Bethesda,
- Maryland, and discussed the, engineering verification program, including the measures being followed,to ensure program independence.
A meeting summary is being prepared by the NRC.
The Hydrogen Recombiner.independent design package (Verification Item 4) was completed, and copies are undergoing review for completeness by Review Committee members.
Upon Review Committee approval, the existing design will be released for ETF comparison of designs 3.
The Main Steam Isolation Valve (Item 7), Control Room Emergency Clean-Up System Valve (Item 3),
and ECCS Area Ventilation System HEPA Filter (Item 8) independent design packages are all scheduled for completion during the coming period..As completed, copies will be forwar'ded to Review Committee members for approval to release existing designs for comparison.

The Review Committee met at the 5obsite on September 16 to discuss completion of the first Ebasco and C-E independent designs and release of existing designs for comparison.
Copies of the Hydrogen Recombiner design package were distributed to the Review Committee, with a completion of review requested by September 21.
Written request has been made for'Project Team-to assemble existing design documents in advance of authorization to r'elease in order to minimize turnover time when Review Committee approval is granted.
