ENGINEERING VERIFICATION PROGRAM/SL-2 EBASCO TASK FORCE WEEKLY STATUS
SUMMARY
-FOR PERIOD OCTOBER 11-OCTOBER 15,1982 The completed independen't design package for the Main Steam Isolation Valve (Verification Item 7) was transmitted to Review Committee members October 11 via Federal Express for package completeness review. Committee approval to release existing design for ETF comparison is anticipated early in the week of October 18.

Review Committee authorization to release existing.designs or ETF comparison was given to the Project Team on October 13 for the following verification items:
a.
Item 8 HEPA Filter for ECCS Area Ventilation System b.
Item 5 Area Radiation Monitor GM-26-22 Document transmittals to'he ETF are expected to commence early next period.

Review Committee approval to release existing design for Tornado Missile Shield Door RA 109 (Verfication Item'6 ) did not make granted October 18.

e Independent vs. existing design comparisons for. the Hydrogen Recombiner (Item 4) and Control Room Emergency Cleanup System Valve (Item 3) are nearing completion.
The last of the requested existing design documents were received for both items other than the foundation design drawing for Item 4, release of which was not requested until October 13.

The Ebasco Task Force will interface. with the C-E Task Force for the erfo p
rmance of additional independent design activities.
ENGINEERING VERIFICATION PROGRAM/SL-2 C-ETASK FORCE WEEKLY STATUS StkiMARY OCTOBER 11-OCTOBER 1511982 1.
The EVP Review Committee, on October 14, authorized release of existing design information for the High Pressure Safety Injection Pump (C-E Verification Item 1). Comparison with the recently completed independent design package will begin as soon as this information is received from the Project Team.

Additional Ebasco/CE interface activity is planned for Items 1
and 2 (HPSI Pump 6 SIT Isolation Valve) prior to beginning the on-site verification phase.
The additional work scope will include instrumentation/
electrical interface review, as well as component nozzle/piping loading analysis.
The C-E Task Force will start to assemble and transmit information to the Ebasco Task Force during the next report period.

Although not all existing design information has been received from the Project Team, comparison of the SIT Isolation Valve independent design is continuing.
