ENGINEERING VERIFICATION PROGRAM/SL-2 EBASCO TASK FORCE WEEKLY STATUS SUKfARY FOR PERIOD NOVEMBER 1-NOVEMBER 6,1982

1. Status of inde P endent vs existi ng design comparisons for verification items 3-8:
a. "Item 3 Cntrl Rm Emergency Cleanu System Valve
1) Additional existing design information received Nov 2 and 3 from Project Team, with further electrical documentation still due. P HVAC and I&C comparison sheets complete.
3) Electrical comparison essentially complete.
4) Applied Physics comparison. expected complete Nov 9.
b. Item 4 H dro en Recombiner
1) Additional existing electrical design information received Nov 3 in response to Nov' request.
2) Radwaste and Electrical comparison sheets expected complete Nov 9.
3) Civil, I&C, HVAC and Applied Physics comparisons complete.

2) If the remaining needed information is received early next period, estimate that Civil, I&C, and Plant Security comparisons will be completed by Nov 13; Item 7 Main'team Isolation Valve
1) Partial receipt of existing design information from Project Team occured on Oct 20 and 21.
2) Strong expediting efforts for 'receipt of balance of requested information have met with no success to date..
3) Best estimate for completion of design comparison is Nov 15, contingent upon early receipt of remaining information from Project Team.

Item 8 HEPA Filter for ECCS Area Ventilation S stem

1) HVAC comparison sheets essentially ccmplete.
2) I&C comparison complete.
3) Applied Physics comparison expected complete Nov 10.

Additional existing design information requested Nov 5 expected Nov 8

Status of work to be performed by ETF as interface with O'-E Task Force--

re expansion of component boundaries for, verification items 1 and 2:

a. . Item 1 HPSI Pum
1) The Elementary Wiring Diagram, received from C-E Task Force on Nov 3 in Windsor, is being reviewed by the ETF.
2) Information requested via Oct 29 letter EVP 3164L-2 received in part on Nov 5.,
3) Completion of. the design-related phase of this additional engineering verification work by the ETF is tentatively scheduled for Nov 16.
b. Item 2 SIT Isolation Valve
1) ETF questions pertaining to the Elementary Wiring Diagram have been resloved with C-E Task Force.
2) I&C pnd Electrical design phase completions by -the ETF are projected for. Nov 12 and 15 respectively.

A meeting of the FPL, C-E and Ebasco EVP .Task Force Managers was held Nov 3 in Windsor Conn. to review program status and discuss schedule.

I&C discipline work was active on Saturday, Nov 6.

ENGINEERING VERIFICATION PROGRAM/SL-2 C-E TASK FORCE WEEKLY STATUS SUGARY NOVEMBER 1-NOVEMBER 5,1982

1. The Elementary Wiring Diagram (EWD) for EVP Item 1-.(HPSI Pump) was and forwarded to Eb'asco Task Force on 11/3/82. This drawing, pump control design requirements forwarded earlier, will

, along with comprise C-E engineering interface input to the Instrumentation & Control wiring diagrams being produced by the Ebasco Task Force.

2. The C-E Task Force responded to several Ebasco telephone questions regarding the EWD 'previously supplied as EVP Item 2-(SIT Isolation Valve) interface information. A revised drawing and C-E Task Force written responses were forwarded as confirming documentation.
3. The EVP Final Report outline was,discussed at the November 3 EVP Task Force Managers'eeting. Ebasco Task Force comments were incorporated into a revisedoutline.
4. Comparison of EVP Item 1 independent design package with- existing design continues. Completion of design comparison is targeted for November 10.

However, some existing design information has not yet been received.

5. C-E Task Force engineers are preparing detailed check lists for on-site verification of EVP Items 1 and 2. On-site engineering, verification work should start during,,the week beginning November 29. ',
