Information Re uests Verification Items 1 and 2 C-E Portions of the design input information requested will be supplied by the C -E Project Team in the form of a. marked up Unit 2 contract specification.

2. Verification Items 3 thru 8 Ebasco Have received part of the design inputs from the August 18 letter request, and essentially all from the August 13 request.

B. Schedule Verification Items 1 and 2 C-E Mr Miller stated that the C-E Task Force expects to maintain its existing schedule dependent upon furnishing of the requested design inputs.

2. Verification Items 3 thru 8 Ebasco) o Mr Blodgett advised that detailed workday estimates have been prepared, evaluated, and adjusted, and that related time-phased schedules for each item have been prepared and are presently undergoing adjustment. The adjustments are necessary to integrate the schedules, maintain order of item priorities and eliminate interface conflicts among supporting disciplines.

0 The schedules were discussed, and Mr Blodgett advised that a combination of ETF overtime plus additional qualified discipline engineers is essential to help maintain schedule. Verbal authorization in this regard was given for FPL by Mr Christian.

C. Au ust 17 Letter -NRC to FPL Copies were received by Messrs. Miller and Blodgett via telecopier on August 23 and 24 respectively. An interim report regarding Task Force independence re second paragraph of the letter will be prepared and transmitted to the NRC by the EVP Joint Task Force Chairman.

Mr Christian advised the meeting referred to in third paragraph of the letter has been scheduled for September 14 at NRC's Bethesda office. Messrs Christian, Miller and Blodgett will attend.
