Information Re uests Mr Miller advised that the C-E Task Force has now received all requested design inputs:

2. Hr Blodgett advised that response is still lacking to ETF request letter EVP-306/SL2 of September 2 concerning main steam transient conditions and steam break faulted conditions for the Main Steam Isolation Valve (Verification Item 7)."
3. Hr Christian phoned the C-E Project Team to expedite a response to that ETF request.

B. Release of Existin Desi ns

1. Status of H dro en Recombine'r (Verification Item 4)

The Ebasco Task Force is awaiting word of Review Committee approval to release existing design documents for comparison ~

Not all Committee members have as yet completed reviewing their copies of the independent design package for completeness.

2. Status of Safet Xn'ection Tank Isolation Valve {Verification Item 2)

Copies of the final version of the C-E independent design package were distributed by Hr Hiller for Review Committee completeness review. The C-E Task Force anticipates release of the existing design documents for comparison early next period.

3. Control- Room Emer enc Cleanu S stem Valve (Verification Item 3)

The independent" design package has been completed by the ETF, and Mr Blodgett distributed copies for completeness review by the Review Committee. Transmittal letter EVP-309/SL-2 requested that Committee approval to release the existing design for comparison be addressed in a conference call early next period.

Con aoison oi inde endeno and Esisoin~Desi ns A Comparison Sheet form is being developed by the ETF for use in comparison of designs. A preliminary copy will be forwarded to the C-E Task Force for. its information.

Schedule /Personnel Ebasco Task Force Work continues on a selective overtime basis. Copies of resumes for engineers assigned during August and September were given to Mr Christian. Task Force total manpower remains at 16 full-time/part-time engineers plus Task l.'orce Hgr and clerk-typist.

2. C-E Task Force C-E's EVP schedule was revised due to late receipt of requested design inputs. Copies were distributed to Messrs Christian and Blodgett.

Task Force manpower .level is presently ten.

Field Installation Verification Phase The following items were included in a preliminary discussion of this phase of the Engineering Verification Program:

1. Maintaining Task Force independence at the Site.
2. Adequate office space at the Site.,
3. Establishing a Site contact person.
4. Best estimate of time period during which this phase will be underway.
5. Estimated maximum number of Task Force personnel at Site at the same time.
6. Consideration of advance arragements for. motel accomodations (start of tourist season).
