SUMMARY
FOR PERIOD SEPTEMBER 20 SEPTEMBER 25,1982 1 ~
The Control Room Emergency Cleanup System Valve independent design package (Verification Item 3) was completed and copies have been distributed to members of the Review Committee for review of package completeness.
Committe approval to release existing design for ETF comparison is anticipated early in the week of September 27.

The ETF is awaiting release of the existing design documents for the Hydrogen Recombiner (Verification Item 4). Comparison of independent and existing designs will start following Review Committee approval to release, and the subsequent receipt of existing design from the Pro5ect Team.
3 ~
The independent design package for the Main Steam Isolation Valve (Verification Item 7), is nearly complete, although two requested design input items per ETF letter EVP-306/SL-2 dated September 2 have still not been received.
4, In additions to Item 7, work progressed on preparation of the independent designs for the ECCS Area Ventilation System HEPA Filter
'Item 8), Area Monitor (Item 5), and Aux. Bldg. Tornado Door (Item 6).
.All four are scheduled for completion during the week of September 27 and submittal to the Review Committee for review of package completeness and approval to release existing designs for comparison.

A meeting of the FPL, C-E and Ebasco EVP Task Force Managers was held on September 23 in Windsor Conn. to discuss program progress.

ENGINEERING VERIFICATION PROGRAM/SL2 C-E TASK FORCE WEEKLY STATUS
SUMMARY
SEPTEMBER 20 SEPTEMBER 25 l.
The balance of the design information was received by courier pack from the Ebasco project team on September
- 22. Receipt of this material enabled the C-E Task Force to finalize the Safety Injection Tank Isolation Valve (Item2) independent design package.
The final version has been distributed for committee review. Release of the existing design package for comparison is expected
.by September 28.

Completion of an independent design package for the High Pressure Safety Injection Pump (Item 1) is scheduled for September 30.
3.
Early planning for the SL2 onmite verification phase was included in the Task Force Managers'rogress review meeting held on September
- 23. The FPL Task Force Manager will make appropriate arrangements to assure task force independence while at the jobsite.
