1. Discuss completion of Ebasco and C-E independent designs and release of existing designs for comparison.

2. Review the first two independent design packages for completeness.

3. If review process completed at meeting, authorize the Project Teams to release the applicable existing designs.

B. Verification Item '4 (Ebasco)

1. Copies of the H2 Recombiner independent design package were made and distributed by the Ebasco Task Force Manager.

2. Copies of ETF letter EVP-306/SL-2, dated September 15, 1982, and entitled, "Verification Item No. 4 Hydrogen Recombiner Request for Release of Existing Design Documents," were distributed to Review Committee members at the same time.

3. Discussion of the package was started, but it was determined that review could not be completed at the meeting. It was decided that package review would have to continue on an individual member basis,=

with completion scheduled for September 21.

4. September 21, all members were to be contacted by the Committee On Chairman regarding completeness of the package and at that time it would be decided if approval could be granted for release of the existing design.

C. Verification Item C-E)

1. Copies of the Safety Injection Tank'solation Valve independent design package were made and distributed by the C-E Task Force Manager.

2. As with Item 4, it was determined that review would be'arried out on an individual member basis and completed by September 22.

l. It was agreed that it would be impractical for the Review Committee to convene every few days to review the remaining independent design packages as each is completed.

2. It was determined that each subsequent package would be submitted to the Review Committee via letter to the FPL EVP Task Force Manager/

Review Committee Chairman. Transmittals to individual members would be simultaneously made by the fastest possible means, such as Federal Express.

E. Miscellaneous

l. A synopsis of the EVP Task Force Managers/NRC September 14 meeting to discuss program independence was presented by Mr Christian, with additional comments by Messrs Miller and Blodgett.

2. The written meeting summary is forthcoming from Mr Nerses of the NRC.
