DESIGN REVIEW PHASE

1. VERIFICATION ITEMS 1-2 (C-E)

Mr Miller summarized status of the C-E items.

a. Item 2 (SIT Isolation Valve Comparison of independent and existing designs in progress following receipt of a portion of the existing design.
b. Item 1 (HPSI Pum )

Independent design package completed and copies transmitted/

distributed to Review Committee members Oct 5/Oct 6 for completeness review. Requested Committee approval to release existing design for comparison by October 11.

2. VERIFICATION ITEMS 3-8 (EBASCO Mr Blodgett summarized status of the Ebasco items.
a. Item 4 (H2 Recombiner)

Comparison of independent and existing designs continues.

A request for additional existing design documents was made Oct 4.

Independent design pkg completed and copies transmitted Oct 4 via. Federal Express to,Review Committee members for completeness review. Requested Committee authorization to release existing design for comparsion by October ll.

received October 4 re two outstanding design input items requested via September.

2 letter. The independent design package is now being finalized and scheduled for transmittal to Review Committee members for completeness review October 8.

DESIGN COMPARISON SHEET I

Discussed the Design Comparison Sheet format being utilized by each Task Force.

ADDITIONAL C-E/EBASCO WORK SCOPE

a. Held preliminary discussions concerning the probability of expanding present boundaries for the C-E verification items

, to include interface with the Ebasco Task Force. In particular, this would involve ETF independent design activity regarding electrical power supply and instrumentation 6 control systems.

b. Mr Christian was asked to provide written authorization for the additional work scope.

'IELD INSTALLATIONVERIFICATION PHASE

l. It is expected that jobsite work for the various verification items will be performed by the Task Force during one continuous time period rather than at several separate times;-
2. The FPL Engineering Representative, Mr Ed Preast,'as'ntroduced to Messrs Miller and Blodgett by Mr Christian at, the jobsite October 7.
3. The FPL Engineering Representative will serve as the main contact forEbasco and C-E Task Force members during the field installation verification phase.

4. Task Force members will obtain photo identification badges upon reporting to the jobsite.

5. Working space will be provided for the Task Force in the main non-manual employee office building.
6. Hardhats, flashlights, clipboards, office supplies,
raingear,

.etc will be furnished to the Task Force as required.

7. Task Force will plan to follow normal daily working hours while at the jobsite, i.e. 7'.00-11:00 and 11:30-3:30.
8. Mr Christian will investigate as to what special arrangements may be necessary for possible Saturday or Sunday work by Task Force at jobsite.

MISCELLANEOUS

l. UPCOMING MEETINGS The next meeting of the Task Force Managers was tentatively scheduled for October 21 in New York.
