Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-416 and 50-417 License No. NPF-13 File 0260/0250 Response to 10CFR2.206 Petition AECM-84/0334 Mississippi Power & Light Company (MP&L) was requested by Mr. Darrell G.
Eisenhut of your staff, in a letter dated May 30, 1984, to respond to a petition filed under 10CER2.206 by Jacksonians United for Livable Energy Policies to suspend, modify or revoke the operating license of Grand Gulf Nuclear Station. The MP&L response was requested within two weeks of receipt of the above referenced NRC letter. Because of the extent of the concerns expressed by the Petitioner and the current attention of MP&L resources to full power licensing support activities, MP&L requests a two week extension.
MP&L proposes to submit a response to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission by July 5, 1984. Please advise if this proposal is unacceptable or should you have questions on this matter.
