ATTACHMENT 1 Unresolved Iten - Additional Information.

Incomplete Biennial Audit (50-272/84-46-02 & 50-311/84-46-02)

Technical Specification 6.5.2.8.h requires that the facility fire protection program and implementing procedures be audited at least once per 24 months.

OA Programmatic controls associated with fire protection are audited as a part of the two-year audit cycle required by ANS 3.2/ ANSI N18.7. In addition, fire protection - unique administrative controls, such as fire brigade training, control of combustibles and ignition sources, and inspection / test of fire protection equipment are audited annually.

As a result of discussions with Mr. A. Krasopoulos, it is our understanding that the following additional measures will close this item:

1. Future programmatic audits of Design Control will address fire protection-unique controls.

2. Annual fire protection audits will include examination of document controls associated with fire protection procedures.

These measures will be implemented by November 30, 1985.
