Box 236 Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey 08038 Gentlemen: Your letter of September 30, 1986, transmitted a Temporary Change (TC) to the Salem and Hope Creek Generating Stations Security Plans. The TC identifies the compensatory measures to be taken during construction activities necessary to consolidate the Salem and Hope Creek Protected Areas, and provides a schedule to achieve the initial site consolidation and submit consolidated Security, Contingency, and Training and Qualification Plans. We have reviewed the information contained in this TC and have determined that the TC is consistent with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p), and is considered acceptable. However, your letter also advised that the new set of consolidated plans, to be transmitted within two months of implementation, will also include your response to comply with the recent rule changes. Please be advised that this response must be a separate amendment submittal to the Director, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation and is not to include other changes. The enclosures to your letter are being withheld from public disclosure since they contain Safeguards Information and must be protected in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 73.21.
