Vice President to Dr. Thomas E. Murley, Regional Administrator transmitting changes to the Salem Nuclear Generation Station Quality Assurance Program Description, Revision 5, dated July 25, 1986.
We have reviewed the referenced letter transmitting Revision 5, of the Salem Nuclear Generating Station Quality Assurance Program. Our review indicated an omission in Figure 17.2 - 1.
This omission was clarified by Mr. C. Johnson of your staff on February 6, 1987.
Region I staff has reviewed the original submittal and the clarification and found the changes acceptable as they do not reduce your previous commitments to quality assurance.
The effectiveness of your QA Program implementation will continue to be the subject of routine regional inspections.
