By letter dated November 4, 1983, Portland General Electric (PGE) responded to several Items of Generic Letter (GL) 83-28, among them, Item 2.1 Equipment Classification and Vendor Interface.
The staff has completed its review of Item 2.1 Part 2 (Vendor Interface Progams) and concludes that PGE's response for this topic is acceptable. The staff was assisted in its review by EGAG Idaho. Enclosed is our Safety Evaluation along with EG&G Idaho's Technical Evaluation, which provides the bases for our conclusion.
Part 1 (Equipment Classification) to Item 2.1 of GL 83-28 was addressed in our Safety Evaluation of September 17, 1986.
