Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP) Report Nos.
50-272/85-98; 50-311/85-98
The NRC Region I SALP Board has reviewed and evaluated the performance of
activities at the Salem Nuclear Generating Station - Units 1 and 2 for the
period October 1, 1985 through September 30, 1986. The results of this
assessment are documented in the enclosed SALP Board report. A meeting to
discuss the assessment has been scheduled for January 21, 1987 at the Salem
Generating Station, Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey.
At the SALP meeting, you should be prepared to discuss this assessment and
your plans to improve those areas that appear to need more management attention.
The meeting is intended to be a dialogue wherein any comments you may have
regarding our report may be discussed. Additionally, you may provide written
comments within 30 days after the meeting.
