SUBJECT: NOTICE OF VIOLATION (INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-327/85-01 AND

50-328/85-01).

We have evaluated your response of July 10, 1987, to our Notice of Violation,

issued on June 8,1987, concerning Appendix "R" deficiencies at your Sequoyah

facility and found that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201. With the

exception of the 480-volt shutdown board room open head water spray system,

your corrective actions have been verified through NRC inspection. We are in

agreement that the open head water spray system modification must be completed

prior to Mode 4. Accordingly, this item will be exantined during future

inspections.
