FINAL DRAFT TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR SOUTH TEXAS PROJECT, UNIT 1 The subject Technical Specifications are in Final Draft form and are enclosed for your. review and certification. The Final Draft Technical Specifications were produced by revising the Proof and Review Technical Specifications as a result of applicant and staff comments on the Proof and Review Technical Speci-fications. All comments were reviewed and applicable comments were incorpo-rated.

The Technical Specifications to be issued as Appendix A to the South Texas Project, Unit 1 license are expected to be essentially identical to the enclosed Final Draft. Certification of values or revisions to the FSAR are needed to support Technical Specifications pertaining to: 1) Reactor Trip Setpoints and Engineered Safety Feature Setpoints 2) Balance of Plant Set-points,3)batterychargercapacities,and4)revIsedT avg

• Additionally, it is requested that you certify that the enclosed Technical Specifications are consistent with the Final Safety Analysis Report, the Safety Evaluation Report, and the as-built facility. As part of your response, you are requested to document in some detail the resources and process used to review and certify the Technical Specifications. Your response is requested by June 1, 1987.
