.i Houston Lighting & Power Company (H14P) is. changing the expected completion date for corrective actions taken to prevent recurrence in. response to Notice of Violation (498/9005 02;._499/9005-02) so=that these actions may be ~ ! completed as part of the overall Emergency Preparedness Enhancement Program.
This NOV was. associated'with radiological emergency response. training.' , Shift Radiation Protection Supervisors'have. received; training ~in Offsite; Dose Projections, and. practical' exercises have.been completed-in use of the- ! ' dose projection nomograph, the offsite dose calculation program, and use of
Emergency Action Levels.
STPEGS is in full' compliance at this time.
In' - addition, H14P planned to take actions to prevent recurrence, as previously i
stated in correspondence dated May 7,:1990r(SI-HirAE-3437): The training requirements for onshiftl key respor.ders will be evaluated and revised as necessary to emphasizetemergency classification,. L protective action. recommendations and dose calculation requirements.
In addition, practice problems will be; issued for onshift personnel to provide them with practice in' performing offsite dose. project Ts. l These additional enhancements will befin place no'later than L September 30, 1990, l H1AP is currently in the process of implementL7 enhancements in much of the South Texas Project Electric ~ Generating Station Emergency Preparedness i Program. Under the enhancement program, seminars and. facility = drills which i . will incorporate these training requirements will begin in earlyl1991. The overall enhancement program is expected to be implemented prior to the 1991-
