This acknowledges the receipt of District letter, File GCA-87-818, dated December 14, 1987, by which the District transmitted Amendment 13A to the Rancno Seco Nuclear Generating Station Physical Security Plan, dated February 23, 1979.

We find the changes submitted by the subject letter to be consistent with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 50.54(p). Accordingly, they are acceptable for inclusion into the plan.

As indicated in the above referenced District letter, NRC Headquarters has reviewed and corresponded with you regarding those portions of Amendments 13 and 13A which were necessitated by the miscellaneous amendments to 10 CFR 73.

Those portions have, therefore, not been part of the Region V review. Results of the NRC Headquarters review will be communicated to you by that office.

The attachments to your letter are being withheld from public disclosure because they contair. Safeguards Information and must be protected in

{ accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 73.21.
