Dear Mr. Denton:

Reference 1 transmitted the Detailed Control Room Design Review (DCRDR)

Summary Report for the SNUPPS units. Reference 2 documented results of the site audits of DCRDR progress, for which the Summary Report was used as a basis. The NRC provided their documentation of results of the site audits of the Callaway and Wolf Creek control rooms by issuing reference 3, which also contains new concerns in the form of comments on the Summary Report.

Transmitted herewith is Revision 1 to the Summary Report, generated to document the two Environmental Surveys, held in April and June 1984, to address commitments and concerns identified in references 2 and 3, and to revise various responses and implementation schedules, which were unavail-able at the time of the reference I submittal. The majority of the new concerns identified by reference 3 are addressed in this revision; a summary of these items and their location within the attached revision is provided in Appendix K along with concerns and commitments resulting from the site audits. The remaining concerns from reference 3 will be addressed as discussed btiow. Union Electric will provide, under separate cover, a response to the NRC regarding the reference 4 findings.

SNUPPS will submit a supplemental report on the revised Task Analysis by July 01, 1985. Several utilities have been requested to address this concern. This schedule will allow time for development of a generic response to the task analysis upgrade which the NRC has required. This 8407100429 840629 R PDR ADOCK 05000402 F PDR g gD >y L
