Re: Docket No. 50-160 During a telephone conversation with Mr. Robert E. Carter of your staff, it was apparent that your office was not aware of the personnel changes that have taken place at the Georgia Institute of Technology reactors GTRR and AGN-201. A copy of a letter dated December 2, 1983, from Dr. Walter O. Carlson to Dr. David M. Verrelli of NRC, Region II, informing him of my appointment as Director of the Nuclear Research Center, is enclosed. A copy of a second letter from John Brighton to me appointing me to be in charge of the AGN-201 is also enclosed.

In addition to personnel changes, the organization for the management of the GTRR will change, effective July 1, 1984 from what appears on page 39 of the Technical Specifications of the GTRR (enclosed as old organization chart) to what appears in the enclosed "new" organization chart. The management of Georgia Tech prefers that the Director of the Nuclear Research Center reports to the President of Georgia Tech through the Vice President for Research instead of through the Dean of Engineering. Should this change require an amendment to our Technical Specifications then please consider this letter as a request to amend our Technical Specifications. Thank you.
