Georgia Institute of Technology License No. R-97 Docket No. 50-160 Amendment No.12 On July 20,1998 the heavy water coolant was removed from the Georgia Tech Research Reactor. Accordingly, the Technical Safety Committee has dropped all related procedures.

In accordance with Facility License No. R-97, Amendment No.12 issued April 2,1998, Specifications 1.3,2.3 and 3.2 of the Technical Specifications no longer apply to the facility. These specifications eliminate the requirement to ensure the containment building integrity testing and containment building modification / maintenance as specified in Section 3.2. Tritium monitoring is no longer required as specified in Technical Specifications Tables 2.1 and 3.1. This letter is to inform you of the termination of these activities.
