Dear Mr. Hertel:

This is in response to your June 1,1998, letter that requested termination of the l

requalification program for reactor operators and senior reactor operators. Your request 1 was based on the facts that Georgia Tech is no longer authorized to possess reactor fuel l

l . under the current, research reactor license, and that all fuel has been removed from the facility. Based on these facts, we find your request to eliminate the operator requalification program requirements for reactor operators and for senior reactor operators to be l acceptable.
