Reference Docket No.; 50-160 Dear' Dr. Thomas On behalf of the Georgia Institute of Technology, I hereby request that the deadline for full implementation of the approved emergency plan be extended from June 14, 1985 to October 14,1985--an extension of about

'120 days. This extension is needed because in the development of the various emergency procedures, it became clear that physical modification to the fability may be necessary. It is not possible for us to fully implement the plan by June 14, 1985.~

We have implemented some portions of the plan. . We will continue to increase our imp.tementation with a goal of full implementation as soon as is possible.

We w'illi of course, inform you of the date of complete implementation.
