LOCATION: U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission One White Flint North 11555 Rockville Pike, Room 0-8B6 Rockville, MD 20852 PURPOSE: The purpose of this pre-application conference call with representatives of Carolina Power & Light Company (the licensee) is to have additional discussions regarding the transition to the requirements of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 805, "Performance-Based Standard for Fire Protection for Light Water Reactor Electric Generating Plants," for Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Units 1 and 2.

CATEGORY 1:* This is a Category 1 conference call. The public is invited to observe this conference call and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned.
