FORTHCOMING PRE-APPLICATION MEETING WITH CAROLINA POWER & LIGHT COMPANY (CP&L) REGARDING NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION STANDARD 805 FOR BRUNSWICK STEAM ELECTRIC PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 DATE & TIME: Thursday, May 31,2012 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

LOCATION: U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission One White Flint North 11555 Rockville Pike, Room 0-7B4 Rockville, MD 20852 PURPOSE: The purpose of this pre-application meeting with representatives of Carolina Power & Light Company and Florida Power Corporation (the licensees) is to discuss the transition to the requirements of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)

Standard 805, "Performance-Based Standard for Fire Protection for Light Water Reactor Electric Generating Plants," for Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Units 1 and 2.

CATEGORY 1:* This is a Category 1 Meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned.
