MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT - 2013 U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC) INITIAL EXAMINATION WRITERS WORKSHOP This letter serves to notify recipients that there will be an examination writers workshop sponsored by NRC Region II at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Learning Center, located at 265 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, Georgia, 30303.
This Category 2 meeting has been scheduled for July 23-24, 2013, from 12:00 PM (EDT) to 4:00 PM on the 23rd, and from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM on the 24th. The meeting notice, which provides location and additional details, is enclosed. The purpose of the meeting is to provide insights and share experiences on issues relating to the operator licensing process. This years workshop will include presentations concerning resources available on the NRC website, the anatomy of an initial operator license exam, the license application process, sample plan development and K/A matching, recent examination operating experience, plausibility, NRCs guidance on developing SRO-level test items, alternate path JPMs, the operating test, exam validation and a question-and-answer forum.
