MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT - 2008 U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC) INITIAL EXAMINATION DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP This letter serves to notify recipients that there will be an examination writers workshop sponsored by NRC Region II in Atlanta, Georgia, at the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center located at 61 Forsyth Street SW, Atlanta, Georgia, 30303.
This Category 2 meeting has been scheduled for August 5 and 6, 2008, beginning at 12:00 PM on the 5th (EDT) and ending at 3:30 PM on the 6th. The meeting notice, which provides location and additional details, is enclosed. The purpose of the meeting is to present details and share experiences on how to efficiently develop valid and discriminatory written examination questions and operating tests in accordance with NUREG 1021, Rev. 9, and Supplement 1.
Members of your operations and training staffs are invited to attend this workshop. Please notify Ms. Karen Hunter of my staff at (404) 562-4622 or by electronic mail to karen.hunter@nrc.gov with the names and positions of your staff who plan to attend the workshop by July 25, 2008.
