This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. Brian McCabe of your staff and myself of this office on September 3, 2008, concerning a Category 1 meeting which has been scheduled for October 24, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. (EDT). The meeting notice, which provides location and additional details, is enclosed. The purpose of the meeting, scheduled at your request, is for Carolina Power and Light Company and Florida Power Corporation (doing business as Progress Energy Carolinas, Inc. and Progress Energy Florida, Inc., respectively) to introduce their new organizational strategies and initiatives within the company.
