MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT - 2007 U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC) TRAINING MANAGERS' CONFERENCE Region II will host a Training Managers Conference on July 18, 2007. The meeting will be held in Conference Room B, of the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center, 61 Forsyth Street, Atlanta, Georgia. The meeting will start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.

Management representatives from the operations and training organizations are invited to attend this conference. Please notify Ms. Ola Cain of my staff at (404) 562-4602 or by electronic mail to obw@nrc.gov, by June 15, 2007, with the names and positions of your staff who plan to attend the conference.
The purpose of this conference is to inform regional training and operations management of issues and policies that affect the licensing of reactor plant operators. The theme for this years conference will be, Working and Communicating Effectively to Improve the Operator Licensing Process. Topics for discussion will include examination scheduling and planning, examination results, license medical conditions, exam submital quality, consistency in examination reviews, NUREG 1021changes, and other operator licensing and training topics. This meeting is a Category 2 meeting.
