REGULATORY PERFORMANCE MEETING/ANNUAL ASSESSMENT OF BRUNSWICK STEAM ELECTRIC PLANT, DOCKET NOS. 50-325 & 50-324

Dear Mr. Waldrep:

This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Ms. Annette Pope of your staff and myself on March 4, 2008, concerning a Category 1 public meeting which has been scheduled for May 1, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. The meeting notice, which provides additional details, is enclosed. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss your corrective actions regarding the White Mitigating Systems Performance Indicators for Emergency AC Power Systems and Cooling Water Systems, and the White inspection finding related to the failure of emergency diesel generator #1 on November 2, 2006. In addition, we will discuss the NRC Reactor Oversight Process Annual Assessment of your Brunswick Steam Electric Plant.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's Agencywide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS).
