PUBLIC MEETING
SUMMARY
- 2022 ANNUAL ASSESSMENT MEETING REGARDING BRUNSWICK STEAM ELECTRIC PLANT, DOCKET NOS. 50-325 AND 50-324, MEETING NUMBER 20230392 On May 3, 2023, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) met with members of the public at the Brunswick Energy & Education Center in Southport, NC. The purpose of the meeting was to provide opportunities for the public to discuss the annual assessment of Brunswick Steam Electric Plant for the period of January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022. The meeting notice and agenda are available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession Number ML23097A054.
The meeting was conducted from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM local time. Meeting attendees consisted of representatives from the NRC, Duke Energy, and members of the public. No official list of attendees was kept. NRC staff were available for questions and there was minimal interaction with the public which was consistent with the typical annual assessment meetings conducted for the station.
The meeting was listed in the Public Meeting Feedback System under Meeting Code 20230392.
