By letter dated October 16, 1996, you applied for an amendment to the Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3, Operating License No. NPF-38. The proposed change would have modified the facility technical specifications (TSs) pertaining TSs 3.2.1 and 3.2.4 and their surveillance requirements.

Subsequently, by letter dated August 26, 1997, you withdrew the amendment request.

The Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to facility Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.  !
